Hawaiian Shirts Recycled

I made this quilt using Marguerita McManus book and method, Crazy Short Cut Quilts.  It was a blast to make.  I started by buying all the cotton Hawaiian shirts I could find at the thrift stores, and two Hawaiian fabrics to tie it all together.

Each 15" block starts out at 18" and is QAYG using decorative machine stitches in different colors.

You can check out Marguerita's website at http://www.crazyshortcutquilts.com.

This was the first quilt I entered in a show, at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys, CA.  It was very gratifying to see it hanging.
